Xanthan Gum is a high molecular weight polysaccharide,produced by fermentation of a carbohydrate with Xanthomonas campestris. It is soluble in water,but not soluble in organic solvent.
Applications & Benefits
Xanthun gum can be used as a thickness or a stabilizer and reheolosy control agent for oil drilling,food,pharmaceutical and cosmetic applications. And it has following benefits:
High efficiency thickening.
A high degree pseudo-plasticity over board shear rate and concentration range.
Stable in both acidic and alkaline solutions.
Exhibit little solution viscosity change over a wide temperature range.
Compatible with solutions containing high concentration of various salt
Provide excellent suspension for insoluble solids and oil droplets.
Extremely effective emulsion and foam stabilizer.
Show synergism with guar and locust bean gum.
Provide excellent mouth-feel to various foods.
Impart freeze and thaw stability.
It is stability at -18ºC~-130ºC to be used in the food & the other industry.
Drilling mud agent . As a result of its well heatproof,anti-salt,shearing dilution & particle suspended function it is the best drilling mud agent for drilling on the sea.
At saturation salt water at 85ºC, it is long-time stability, therefor is the best expelling oil agent on the high therefore & salt oil field.
